van, makers of Bonded Light Alloy Cylinder Barrels. Their adverts began ‘Al-fin cylinder barrels are a revolutionary development of Wellworthy research. At least, metallurgists have succeeded in producing a light cylinder with cast iron lining bonded as one.’
